For the purposes of BC 2.05.050 through 2.05.066 the following mean:

Issuing officer – The department head, officer, or employee authorized to grant, revoke, or administer the terms of any license, the council when so authorized or, if none is so authorized, the city manager.

License – Any permit, privilege, franchise or license issued by or on behalf of the city.

Licensee – The person applying for, holding, or possessing a license or the person’s authorized representative, agent, or employee, or a person conducting activities for which a license or permission from the city is required. [BC 2.05.052, amended by Ordinance No. 4794, 12/1/20]
