A. An applicant may appeal the decision of the police chief by filing a written request of the appeal with the city recorder within five days after the police chief has proposed alternatives or refused to issue a permit.

B. The city manager shall schedule a hearing date which shall not be later than three days following the filing of the written appeal with the city recorder and shall notify the applicant of the date and time that the applicant or the applicant’s representative may appear. The mayor may appoint one or more council members to hear the appeal. [BC 6.02.640, amended by Ordinance No. 4794, 12/1/20]
