As used in Chapter 5.16, except where the context otherwise requires (Any term used but not defined in Chapter 5.16 shall be interpreted consistently with definitions provided in Oregon Revised Statutes, Chapter 659A (2003)):

Gender Identity – A person’s actual or perceived sex, including a person’s identity, appearance, expression, or behavior with respect to actual or perceived sex, whether or not that identity, appearance, expression or behavior is different from that traditionally associated with the person’s sex at birth.

Sexual Orientation – Actual or perceived heterosexuality, homosexuality, or bisexuality. [BC 5.16.015, added by Ordinance No. 4330, 11/15/04]
