Violation of any of the provisions of BC 5.02.005 to 5.02.105 is punishable upon conviction by a fine of not more than $2,500 or by imprisonment not to exceed 365 days, or both. Violation of a provision substantially similar to a state statute is punishable by fine or imprisonment, or both, not to exceed the penalty prescribed by the state statute.
