If any person is required by this chapter to provide books, records, maps or information to the City that the person reasonably believes to be confidential or proprietary, the City shall take reasonable steps to protect the confidential or proprietary nature of the books, records, maps or information to the extent permitted by the Oregon Public Records Law; provided, that all documents are clearly marked as confidential by the person at the time of disclosure to the City. The City shall not be required to incur any costs to protect such documents, other than the City’s routine internal procedures for complying with the Oregon Public Records Law.
