If the Circuit Court enters a judgment finding that a candidate has made a material misstatement of fact published in the City’s voters’ pamphlet, the council may nullify the election or nomination of that person after giving the person notice and an opportunity to be heard on the issue at a public hearing. The council is the final judge of the election and qualifications of the mayor and its own members. [BC 2.06.450, added by Ordinance No. 4748, 1/8/19]
