VI. TRAFFIC COMMISSION

The traffic commission hereby is established, to consist of seven city residents who are not City officials or employees who shall be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council. Commissioners shall serve at the pleasure of the mayor and for a three-year term, except that the initial appointments to the commission shall be for one-year and two-year terms for two commissioners each. The city manager, the city attorney and other city employees as the council may designate from time to time may sit with the commission and take part in its discussions but shall not have the right to vote. The city manager shall designate a city engineer to serve as secretary to the commission and keep an accurate record of all commission proceedings.
