BCCI shall act in advisory capacity to the city council. Its duties include:

A. To assist the City in developing, implementing and evaluating a community involvement program that ensures the opportunity for individuals to be involved in all phases of the City’s land use planning and civic decision making process.

B. To recommend to the city council, City staff, and the various boards, commissions and committees of the City, program and practices intended to assure the continuous opportunity for the exchange of ideas and information between the City government and Beaverton-area residents, business owners and property owners.

C. To monitor and evaluate community involvement programs that the city council may adopt and publicize.

D. To regularly report to the city council through written or verbal communications, such as meeting minutes, annual meetings or reports, or periodic council meeting presentations and work sessions.
